Finnish Software Testing Board (FiSTB) järjestää ISTQB Advanced eli suomeksi Jatkotason sertifiointikokeita kahdella tavalla:

Jatkotason koe

Koe on ISTQB Jatkotason (ISTQB Advanced) koe ja sitä valvoo FiSTB:n edustaja. Sertifiointikokeissa käytetään virallisesti katselmoituja ja hyväksyttyjä koekysymyksiä. Jokainen järjestettävä koe on yksilöllinen, mutta niissä saattaa esiintyä samoja kysymyksiä. Koe on englanninkielinen.

Koe kestää 3 tuntia äidinkielenään kokeen kieltä puhuville ja 3 tunnin 45 min muille. Kokeessa on skenaariopohjaisia monivalintakysymyksiä, joissa on yksi tai useampia oikeita vastauksia. Kysymyksessä kerrotaan selvästi, montako oikeaa vastausta täytyy valita. Oikeasta vastauksesta saa 1-3 pistettä kysymyksen vaikeuden mukaan, vääristä vastauksista pisteitä ei vähennetä. Osallistuja, joka saa vähintään 65 pistettä, läpäisee Jatkotason sertifikaattikokeen. FiSTB myöntää tämän sertifikaatin.

Kokelaat voivat käyttää kokeessa sanakirjaa (englanti-suomi, ei elektroninen), jolloin kokeen valvoja tarkistaa sen ennen kokeen alkua. Kokelaat saavat käyttää kokeissa myös FiSTB:n sivuilla julkaistua englanti-suomi-sanastoa, jossa ei ole termien selityksiä mukana. Muita apuvälineitä, esim. kännykkä, taskulaskin, syllabus tai kurssimateriaali, kokeessa ei saa käyttää.

Kokelaiden tulee saapua koepaikalle viimeistään 30 minuuttia ennen kokeen aloitusta. Muista ottaa mukaan kuvallinen henkilöllisyystodistus sekä Foundation-sertifikaatin!

Kokeen hinta on 200 euroa + ALV 23 % = 246,00 €. HUOM! Jos yritys maksaa laskusi, tarkistathan laskutusosoitteen talousosastolta.

Avoimia kokeita järjestetään TTL Ry:n tiloissa, Stella Business Park, Lars Sonckin kaari 16, 02600 Espoo.

Ilmoittautuminen avoimiin kokeisiin tapahtuu sähköisen lomakkeen kautta. Linkki sähköiseen lomakkeeseen löytyy koekalenterista koepäivän vierestä. Koekalenteri löytyy täältä.

Advanced level

The certification exams are for ISTQB Advanced level and are supervised by an FiSTB representative. Exams are made up of formally reviewed and approved exam questions. Every exam is unique, though they may contain the same individual questions.

Exam duration is 3 hours 15 minutes for native speakers and 3 hours 45 minutes for all others. Exam has scenario-based multiple-choice questions, where there are one or more correct answers. The questions states clearly, how many right answers you need to choose. Correct answer is 1-3 points depending on the question difficulty. Wrong answers do not reduced your points. Participants need at least 65 points to pass the Advanced-level certification exam. The certificate is granted by FiSTB.

Dictionaries (not electronic) can be used during the exam after inspection by the supervisor. Usage of other material, e.g. cellphone, pocket calculator, or any written material (including syllabus and course notes) is forbidden during the exam.

Candidates must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to exam starting time. Please be prepared to show official ID (e.g. passport or driver’s license) and Foundation Level Certificate.

Certification fee is 200 € + VAT 23 % = 246,00 €. Notice! If your company pays for the certification, please check the correct billing address from your organizations finance department.

ISEB Intermediate and Practitioner

FiSTB doesn't organize ISEB Intermediate or ISEB Practitioner exams.

ISEB Intermediate is a complementary exam following ISTQB/ISEB Foundation. Exams are offered by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. These can be ordered, usually following a course, at least from Endero and Tieturi. Tieturi has scheduled courses; Endero offers courses with on-demand basis.

ISEB Intermediate exams can be requested as Prometric exams from Prometric (only part of test centers), Sovelto and Tieturi. The exams are likely to appear through Prometric soon.

ISEB has pulled ISEB Practitioner out of the market on March 31st, 2011. Existing Practitioner certificates are treated as equivalent to ISTQB Advanced certificates.

Treatment of Existing Certificates

All previous ISEB Foundation certificates are considered ISTQB Foundation certificates.

A large number of existing Advanced certificates have been issued by recognized National Boards and by Exam Boards which are authorized to issue Advanced
certificates by at least one recognized National Board. To preserve the continuity of the program, the ISTQB, the National Boards, and the Exam Boards agree to
the following four statements of equivalent treatment:

ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certificates earned by passing exams against the old Advanced Syllabus are treated as equivalent to the Advanced Test Manager certificates earned by passing exams against the Advanced Syllabus 2007.
ISTQB Advanced Functional Tester certificates earned by passing exams against the old Advanced Syllabus are treated as equivalent to the Advanced Test Analyst certificates earned by passing exams against the Advanced Syllabus 2007.
ISTQB Advanced Technical Tester certificates earned by passing exams against the old Advanced Syllabus are treated as equivalent to the Advanced Technical Test Analyst certificates earned by passing exams against the Advanced Syllabus 2007.
ISEB Practitioner certificates earned by passing an exam taken no later than March 31, 2008 [i.e., under the original Practitioner program] are treated as equivalent to the Advanced Test Manager, Advanced Test Analyst, and Advanced Technical Test Analyst certificates earned by passing exams against the Advanced Syllabus 2007.
ISEB Practitioner certificates earned by passing an exam taken after March 31, 2008 and before March 31, 2011 [i.e., under the new Practitioner program] are treated as equivalent to the similar Advanced certificate [i.e., either Advanced Test Manager or Advanced Test Analyst]
